Garage Floor Covering
Installing a covering for your garage floor will be one of the most practical and rewarding things you can do for your garage. However, if you don't take the time up front to sit down and really decide on what you want, then you'll likely be disappointed with the result. The following links are designed to help you narrow down your decision by presenting the pros and cons of each type of garage floor covering, as well as some additional things to consider before making your decision.
Although there are more options out there, the scope of this page reaches out to the four most popular garage floor covering types: If you're on a shoestring budget, then garage floor paint may be your best option. I used paint in my own garage and there are certainly some good and bad things about it. Better than paint, but also more expensive is garage floor epoxy. This will give you a showroom type of floor. Epoxy is a great solution. It'll give your garage floor life and it's easy to care for. I have a neighbor who used epoxy on his garage floor, and it still looks great after 5 years. He was careful to follow the installation directions diligently. On the higher end are coverings like garage floor tiles and garage floor mats. These options will cost you a lot more money, but they're also some of the longest lasting, most durable types of floor coverings you can get. With tiles and mats you get a very wide range of options to choose from.
