Garage Organizers

Garage organizers allow you to neatly, and easily store things in your garage. They come in all kinds of different shapes, sizes, and colors. The good news is that you probably already have some around the house. To get your wheels turning, here are a few household items that you can use in your garage as storage containers:

  • Cardboard Boxes
  • Paper and Plastic Grocery Bags
  • Ziploc Bags
  • Trash Bags
  • Tupperware
  • Shoe Boxes
  • Food and Beverage Jars
  • Buckets
  • Laundry Totes

One of the best things about the above items is the variety of items they can contain. If you take a brief moment to think about it, you’ll find that you can contain a good portion of your clutter using containers you already have.

This brings us to the larger items in your garage that need to be contained. No, not compressors and lawn mowers, but things like heavy power tools, scrap wood or metal, and kids’ toys.

No matter what you use to contain your stuff, make sure you label it! I label mine with a Sharpie on masking tape, but if you would like a more sophisticated, professional look, I suggest getting an automatic label maker.

Moving on, all that should be left in your garage at this point are things that are too large to be contained. These include things like bicycles, motorcycles, car ramps, unfinished furniture projects, etc. Some of these will stay on the floor and others won’t. Please refer to the garage storage page for more on those types of items.
