Garage Equipment

Garage equipment is a variety of appliances and practical tools.

One of the most useful types of garage equipment is a door opener. Openers are essential for practically every home garage regardless of how the garage is utilized.

An air compressor is another important piece of equipment in a garage. It's perfect for filling up tires and kids' air-toys, as well as operating pneumatic tools such as paint sprayers, impact wrenches, and nail guns.

Garage heaters are also a valuable type of equipment. During the winter, they allow you to comfortably complete your household projects or any vehicle maintenance you might have to do.

Speaking of vehicle maintenance, we can't forget about car tools! It's always good to have some chocks, jacks, ramps, a creeper, and other basic automobile equipment on hand in your garage. If you like to work on your vehicle(s), then perhaps a garage hoist would compliment your garage tool collection. In fact, you don't even have to work on your vehicles to find a hoist useful.

It can also be a fantastic helping hand ready to assist you with any home project you may have. Another piece of equipment to consider is a welder. A stick or wire-feed welder is a great asset for any do-it-yourselfer's home garage. Of course, you need a place to keep all of your smaller tools and garage equipment. Enter the good old tool box. Tool boxes are available in many different shapes and sizes. They're the ideal way to organize and store your tools. None of the above mentioned equipment and tools will do you very much good unless you can see what you're doing while you're using them.

Garage lighting is extemely important, especially when it comes to garage safety. Never forget that nothing is more important than safety...nothing. This means there's no excuse for not having a fire extinguisher as part of the standard equipment in your garage. Any amount of work in any garage introduces a fire risk. Consider all of the fluids and chemicals combined with sparks and arcs, and you have a recipe for trouble. Keeping a fire extinguisher nearby can be the difference between life and death let alone severe property damage.

The equipment mentioned above is nothing more than a few basic items I came across throughout several different garages. No two garages are exactly the same, and the kind of equipment you might want or need will vary from ehat your friends and family have.
